Here we go with your racist side rearing its ugly head again

The overt corruption of some state and national republicans is what may create an opening for democrats to win elections.
This is fantastical fantasy. They’re all corrupt but democrats have brought it to another level with ngos, healthcare frauds, and the like. They steal via taxes better than anyone

Yes, Democrats are certainly the party of ethics.
I am not suggesting that democrats are not corrupt. However, there have been a series of high level corrupt actions recently by republicans that are accompanied by the action of republicans to dismantle the ethics in government watchdog agencies. When the party in control uses government power to overtly enrich themselves, it creates an opening for the other party.
This is not a controversial issue.

Are you planning to vote for Democrats this fall?
Posted on 5/21/26 at 3:57 pm to 4cubbies
good for him! you know what they say you can't be too thin or too rich.
i'm sure it was all done legal, we have those self appointed watch dog groups in arkansas as well, professional belly archers! they spew a lot of garbage nothing ever comes of it because republicans have a super majority in the legislature and control every constitutional office.
hey enjoy your data center that was a nice get should create a lot of construction jobs.

Not likely in any local elections. It is rare that there is an attractive judge candidate or other candidate running for a local elected office as a Democrat. So typically I vote among Republican candidates in most elections. It’s all about the candidates, not the party.

I’ve got a feeling there was and still is a lot of other politically connected people that made money or will make money from inside information and shady, back room deals on this and other data center projects, that’s why the general public is being left out and completely avoided when the permit and permission process happens.
On a side note…Foster Campbell helped rush through permitting process for that Meta data center, after being an absolute prick and stumbling block to every other public service and energy company in the state and he suddenly decided he had enough money put away to retire from the PSC.

He wants white males to profit because other races get to profit from other shady legislation, so he wants to even the playing field

Of course he did. Slimy SOB.

That sounds like a huge conflict of interest. They should throw his azz in prison for corruption. idgaf if he is a Republican or not.

Just my opinion but most seeking a congressional seat are doing so for their own financial interests. Has nothing to do with serving their constituent’s. Politics is a business plain and simple. Earning money on the side or moving up within the political corporate structure.

how many posters are honest enough to admit that as soon as they read the thread title and the author they immediately became pro-bribery, pro-kickback, pro-insider trading, and pro-political corruption?

Bingo
Over his 50-year career spanning both the House and the Senate, Thompson has been highly successful at securing millions of dollars in state funding for localized projects in Northeast Louisiana. Accusers frequently reference local reservoirs, infrastructure projects, or economic initiatives he championed as his personal "grift lakes" or vanity projects. Critics argue these projects primarily benefit specific land developers or are used as political leverage to guarantee his re-election rather than serving a broad public good.
The Good Shepherd Head Start Program Auudit: In terms of official oversight, Thompson's name was tangentially tied to controversy in 1997 when the Louisiana Legislative Auditor investigated double-billing practices at the Good Shepherd Head Start Program in his region. While the audit exposed double dipping regarding federal and state child care grant funding, it did not culminate in criminal corruption or "grift" charges against Thompson himself.

I can actually feel my heart rate increasing reading this shite. Its absolutely appalling.
Has nothing to do with the redistricting going on, of course.
Lay off the theater kid routine.

This is the same state senator that was given the task of drawing up new districts and he threw away a good looking 6-0 map in favor of a gerrymandered 5-1 map, right?

I think the current count is at 20.

His house on the lake is bigger than the Governor's mansion. Just go to Google maps satellite view and look north of Delhi, across the road from the Poverty Point Reservoir Park entrance. He had a private lake access dug.
