A black democrat, especially a black female democrat is not winning a statewide election here.
It will have to be a white person, especially a white male if Democrats are to have even a prayer of keeping the Governor’s mansion.

I know Sharon pretty well and think she would be a fantastic Governor. Very bright and charming, and anything but a pushover. I think Bel was worried about her, hence his very personal attacks on her when she called BS on most of his agenda. I just don’t know if this backwards arse state is ready for a strong woman leader (Blanco only won bc her opponent was brown)
