I know that there is a bookie about to be county commissioner in Baldwin county, and that State Rep 95 will go to a runoff.

As for senate, it’ll go to a runoff.

Not sure if it’ll be Hudson or Marshall vs Moore in runoff. Whoever it is will prob best Moore unless Trump gets more involved.

hope you are correct - I went to a Hudson meet & greet yesterday & many of the folks there feel pretty sexy about a runoff; so this MAY happen

hoping it does

I'm still on the fence with between Hudson and Marshall. I've actually been pretty pleased with Marshall's stint as AG. He was the one that basically forced meemaw's hand with the redistricting, and actually fought the Biden admin over the mandatory Covid shots for government workers (which affected me). Plus I lived in Marshall County back when he was DA there, and was pretty pleased with his term there.

So sell me on Hudson. I don't know much about his political record other than his failed run for Sherriff. I'm always hesitant to vote for someone if I don't have some sort of track record to go by.

Unfortunately it's most likely all for naught since from some reason Trump decided to endorse Moore. I just don't understand Trump endorses some of the people he does.

I’m not sour on Marshall, but Hudson is a lot better — all the cops I know are all in and he’s a retired Navy Seal

100% with you on this, and also frustrate it’s him for disparaging people sometimes as well

Hudson is a true outsider and still holds onto his principles- I trust him

Retired Navy Seal Sniper. I heard an interview with him on the radio the other day, I'm extremely impressed how based he is.

Reading these candidate's "issues" on the GOP side here is comical. It's basically "I STAND WITH TRUMP" and a lot of empty rhetoric.

I really don't have a strong inclination in this field. Marshall has been a good AG, but he's a pure politician. Hudson, I fear will develop into a MIC spending puppet. Moore is just a puppet.

Just because he's a retired Seal and cops seem to like him is good, but that really isn't enough of an argument to vote for him for Senator over someone that has an actual good track record.

Again, I'm down for voting for Hudson, but I'm going to have to be sold on it.

agree and his protege (Robertson) is super scummy (I think her lying false ads will work and she wins)

Hudson is young and idealistic; it’s time for new blood that is unencumbered from “political obligations”

Part of why I’m backing him is I think he will shake things up and won’t cave to RINO bullshite, something I don’t trust Marshall on

like you said, he does not have a real record, so selling will be tough (outside of platitudes and speculation) — what has sold me is that the people I trust are very high on him, he is very “based” (as was mentioned above) and he is young/idealistic - I just trust him more on the issue of “won’t cave to the Washington insider bullshite” -

I’m not saying Marshall is bad (or that I’d be disappointed if he wins) I think he (Marshall) is fine and will vote for him with eagerness if he is the nominee; but I trust Hudson, most of it is a “gut feeling” — because let’s be real, what they say in the campaign trail is not always what we get…

So I’m not going to bore or insult you with his “promises” (let’s face it, they ALL sound good right now)

It comes down to this, I trust him and I trust my gut

Hope that helps

I made this post before I saw your last post, so I'll delete it because your latest post answers my thoughts/questions.

I think we both agree that hopefully one of them can beat out Moore.

I don't have a say, but for you AL folks I certainly hope you get Hudson. Been following him on IG for a while and he seems like the real deal.

Why does no one get exercised about the obscene amounts of domestic spending? Instead, they parrot out "MIC! MIC!" if the DoW buys two pairs of combat boots. Y'all are aware defense spending is nowhere near 30% of the budget. (Not to mention, it's one of the few things the federal government is constitutionally authorized to spend $$$ on)

Ok. Tell me which of these candidates would have stood against Trump's massive BBB spending?

And after three decades of bull shite war, in a state super fat on "defense" contractor spending, why is MIC a big deal?

C'mon.

as opposed to "I hate Trump" from the democrats

For Trump "not doing anything", he seems more dominant than any President in my lifetime.
