Rick Edmonds is a social conservative baptist preacher type. Older gentleman, big personality, has a long voting record at the state legislature. He’s a generic small town Louisiana guns and Jesus boomer republican.
Blake Miguez is an accomplished politician in the state legislature, but he’s from the Lafayette area. So, him running in this district is sorta a head scratcher. He has Trump’s backing, and is either late gen-x or early millennial depending on where you draw the line.
Larry Davis is another socially conservative baptist preacher type, but he’s only in his thirties, and is an African American who grew up in the LP burbs. He’s worked on a lot of campaigns for different republican politicians over the last 10 years, but I don’t recall him ever holding any prior elected office. He’s trying to brand himself as the “Louisiana First” candidate. I know Larry is hosting an event soon with James Fishback of Florida.
I am not familiar with the other candidates.

I like Larry Davis. Out of the Republicans though, anybody but Miguez. He needs to stay in Acadiana.
