It was manufactured for ratings then, and it is the same now.

Full Metal Jacket is buzzword catnip for leftists who dont know anything about guns. It sounds terrifying to them, yet they dont understand that FMJ is a standard, common round for most calibers. Say "banana clip" in front of a leftist, and you can see the life flush from his eyes.

This trial opened my eyes quite a bit on the left's understanding of guns. The prosecution, in court and after nearly a year of research, failed to acquire even a basic understanding of guns. They suggested you cant purchase guns based on handedness. They didnt seem to understand reracking or the live round that would be ejected. They couldnt grasp the AR15 as a defense gun in a riot situation. Then the media came in with gems like, "Kyle fired 60 rounds" and all of their made up wish casting gun "laws" that Kyle was supposedly violating.

They dont know anything about guns, yet they want to control them. Odd.

They sound scarier than hollow points. Full metal jacket vs Hollow point.

To the uninformed public and media having something "full of metal" sounds much worse than being "hollow".

I remember in the late 80s-early 90s when they made a boogieman out of HOLLOWPOINT Bullets!!!!!

They could shoot through concrete! they could tear through bullet proof vests! They were too dangerous for war!

All was ignorant nonsense spread for the purpose scaring the populace. Same shite with AR-15s
