Let me ask you this - would you bet your life on the outcome of this case being not guilty? If you can't definitely say yes (remove everything you've seen - understand these are humans in the jury making this decision that have not doubt been influenced in some capacity) then you do everything you can.

The upside could be what it is. But, if he even says one thing wrong, or if something gives that jury a bad impression, whether that is a correct viewpoint or not, and you have a disaster. Just dumb to put him up there. More chance for something bad to happen than good.

I changed my mind.
I'm glad he's on the stand.
His story..what actually happened..will never ever ever EVER EVER EVER be told factually without him putting it into official record.
He's planning for the media onslaught after the trial.
This is genius. No matter what, what he says today will always be part of official public record and efforts to destroy him will always be met with what he is saying today.

The media has already completely ignored the defense and the mistakes of the DAs...why do you think anything will change?
NOTHING will change the media narrative to try and destroy Kyle.
You still have the majority of this country that think Kyle brought his rifle from Illinois.
