Did that lawful order only apply to Rittenhouse? Did that lawful order magically void both self- defense as a legal defense and The Rule Of Law ?

No I’m not doing that at all . I’m acknowledging the legal principle that he retains his Constitutional right to self defense even if there was a “ lawful order”. You seem to be suggesting that because be broke curfew he forfeits his right to self defense . Is that your belief?

My belief is if you don’t put yourself in a stupid position, which is currently breaking the law, you wouldn’t have any more severe outcomes or consequences. Division of fault.

If someone texts me and says there’s a DWI checkpoint down the road from me, I’m not going to pound a fifth and barrel through the checkpoint and kill anyone who stops me claiming self defense.

Well to be fair, you would acknowledge that everybody present was breaking a “ lawful order” and placing themselves in what you call a “ stupid position “ . The majority of those were there to destroy property and commit violence. Rittenhouse was there at the casual request of a property owner to defend the property and render medical aid. He had every legal right to carry a firearm and every legal right to defend his life. As the jury confirmed.
