FWIW the left is very actively trying to make minorities the majority.

Yes, but they'd only be the "majority" when clumped together.

This still doesn't negate the reality that in a "Democracy", it's highly likely that at some point, the bigger of the groups will vote to frick the smaller.

This entire case just proves how out of touch Smollett and people that believed him are. They have never interacted with a Trump supporter or right winger. They assumed that we all have nothing better to do, but go around harassing and lynching black people.

And always carry a bottle of bleach for those impromptu moments when I might need to pour it on a black guy after assaulting him!!!

This is so common!! It's out of hand. You basically can't buy a bottle of bleach in the south anymore cause that shite's always sold out!!
quote:

The key should be that there is about a 0% chance racist Trump voters are out at 2 AM in 0 degree weather looking to mess with a black dude

While I understand the point you're making, the real key is simple.

Even if you were prone to believing some racists would want to do this to him based on his story, you'd have to believe

1. that a couple of racist dudes just randomly and for no advance planned reason, walk around at 2AM in Chicago carrying a bottle of bleach and a noose.

2. That the kind of dudes who would do this would also be familiar enough with the show Empire that they would recognize Jussie on the streets at that time and know he was the gay dude from the show.

3. That they also had Maga hats on.

Honestly, the Maga hat thing is the least absurd of the above 3. (even though it's absurd)

Progressives have done an excellent job of turning “democracy” into a synonym of “freedom”. Amazing because democracy is a huge threat to freedom.

It's a near certain threat to freedom. Democracy is completely antithetical to freedom.

While dictatorship can be more absolute at least with dictatorship, there's half a chance you'll end up with a benevolent dictator.

Democracy on the other hand is pretty much programmed to be anti-freedom.

These people are so stupid. These things never happened before the industrial revolution

They aren't stupid

They're just absolutely vile people.

The left is almost universally populated by absolutely vile people. Even the ones in your own life that you think are decent..........aren't
I'm still kinda happy about the mask thing in because it's so obviously just a political gang handkerchief at this point that it helps me know a lot about a person without ever having to bother to talk to them!

These people aren't wearing masks because they think they work. They're wearing them as nothing more than symbols.
I remember Howard fondly.

Yeah. The INT game. I get it. And sure, he wasn't elite. But, dude played his heart out and at no point did he make it look like the fans got to him even though at that age, it almost certainly did.

Dude played in 36 games for us and has been Tiger thru and thru ever since.

As someone who dreamed of playing for the Tigers but never had the opportunity, I would gladly trade my non-LSU career for what Jamie had the opportunity to do.

Holy illiteracy, Batman!

It truly is amazing.

Some of these dudes would be fricking homeless if they weren't big and fast.
I personally think it's embarrassing how many people say shite like "save our Democracy".

I would argue that possibly the only think worse than a dictatorship is a pure democracy.

Why in the frick would ANYONE want one but ESPECIALLY, why in the frick would someone who constantly talks about minorities want one????
While I absolutely hate the bull shite allowing of rampant theft, every last one of these stupid fricking companies FED INTO the shite that's not biting them in the arse so it's kinda hard to give a frick.
Can we change the thread title to say Updated WHEN?

quote:

Can you imagine the melt Nancy would have?

It would be worth it just for the reaction.

I mean holy shite, the left, the media, Twitter............would all fricking spontaneously combust

Los Angeles School vaccinates kids behind parents back bribing them with pizza

Another example where if the parents chose to, it would be a justifiable homicide. You would NOT be able to get me to vote to convict even if you showed me vids of the parents lining the people involved up and shooting them in the back. of the head.

I hate refundable credits, but at the same time I support anything that allows people to keep more of their own money.

So I guess I'm saying "it depends."
This is kinda me. I'd prefer there were no income taxes. Taxing income is retarded.

But, since that's what we do, I'm not averse to the child tax credit because having children is something we should want more of.
quote:

What does this forum think of the child tax credit.

Can you specify?

Are you referring to this silliness they've been handing out each month of late or, are you referring to the child tax credit that is part of our normal filing?
quote:

Yeah, do you know how many people have had their casino winnings just point blank stolen from the cops thinks to civil forfeiture? Thousands of people, and they haven’t even had the opportunity to go put it in the bank. “99.99% of the time they’re drug dealers.”

And don't get me wrong.

I suspect that well over 90% of all forfeiture cases are of people who legit have the money for non legit reasons.

But, that ain't how shite is supposed to work in our country. In our country, the government is supposed to have to PROVE that shite. Not just say, "seems likely bad.........no YOU prove it ain't".

That ANYONE thinks this is OK is mind boggling
quote:

It's not quite that simple. Granted, I've only done one civil forfeiture case related to drugs, but I'm fairly certain that the state has to offer more than just "she has money".
Wrong. This is literally ALL they have to do. All they need do is assert that it looks fishy. That's about it.

quote:

Looking at it from the government's perspective, which I don't always agree with, I can't think of a scenario where someone would have $100K in cash on them that wasn't either ill gotten gains or lawful gains that were untaxed where there wasn't a paper trail for it.

Cool story. The burden of proof is ON THE STATE. Not the burden of likely or the burden of, gee, seems odd or the burden of, come on, who would do that.

PROOF or GTFO
quote:

Also, isn't a law about traveling with so much cash or amount of Jewelry? Or is that just international?

There is no law about how much money you can carry domestically.

The police are literally just saying, "hey, looks fishy.........prove it isn't".

It was far better back in the day, when out-of-state players from impoverished families helped programs make millions, yet couldn't afford to travel home to visit their family over Thanksgiving break. Right?

Absolutely spot on point. I still remember LSU getting a minor violation for helping Michael Brooks parents see him for the FIRST time in his final bowl game at LSU.

No doubt what was was fricked up in many ways.

But, I still think people that think this isn't some big change are in for a huge surprise.

College football is going to be completely unrecognizable in less than 10 years

Its different because you can basically pay guys to transfer now and they dont have to sit out or anything. Its a free for all with no attempt at rules to regulate parity.

It would be like if every NFL player was a free agent every year! LOL

There will be tons of schools in the country who, every time they get lucky on some 2 star kid that turns out good, he'll be gone the next year!

the transfer portal changes college football far more than the NIL FWIW

NIL + the Portal is the end of college football as we've known it.

Now. It may be arguable that it should be changed. It's certainly arguable that up to this point, the absurd $$$ flowing thru the sport with the players getting basically nothing has been silly. But, it's still going to completely kneecap college football as we've known it.

Maybe tomorrow's college football product will be better and more fun? I don't know. But, the NCAA is a dead man walking right now. I personally see a basically NFL minor league of about 25-30 teams that can sort of pony up similar money. They'll be their own league. Everyone else will be old college football for the most part. Conferences will all be dead.
