Every domestic animal is the result of breeding and discarding the animals who don't fit the breeders plans. That is horses, cattle, dogs, cats....Mother Nature weeds out the weak, stupid and careless. Man must cull the animals not fit for breeding purposes.
When a Breeder is successful and designs an excellent specimen that is desired by the general population, then the Puppy Mills take over. Selling every offspring, no matter the temperament or mental weaknesses. Then the unfortunate buyer pays the bill, and pays, and pays. The trial lawyers jump with glee.
The dumb public is swayed by big mouths on the internet.
My Son once wanted a Doberman. He told me he was looking for a "White" Doberman. I said don't do it. Its a freak, produced for a Fad. He listened, bought a bitch from a good breeder and had about twelve years of companionship. Then he went to a Puppy Mill and bought a couple to replace her, They have been nothing but a money drain. They are frequently at the Vet for constant medication, just to keep them alive;

Remember well the Keeshond we had when I was a kid. Fit this perfectly and I recall the vet said he was likely overbred. Untrainable, always trying to escape not only the house but the fenced yard and would snap at you out of the blue.
Gave him to a family out in the country and he got hit by a car.
No one missed him.

One other thing, unless you’ve had an aggressive dog try and eat the face off one of your children, sit this one out. Do you get all soft when someone kills a Pit?
I'm not a big Pit fan. But I do give dogs a special status among the animal kingdom. Man and dog have been together for 30,000 years.
Recent studies suggest that dogs may actually be smarter than dolphins or chimps.
For the most part, dogs are much less violent than humans.
I personally would not shoot one lightly.

The stupid thing to do would to be to keep an aggressive, non-trainable dog around children. She did the humane thing by putting it down quickly if it was an aggressive animal that wouldn't listen to its owner

There is an unbelievable amount of inbreeding in puppy mills, and bird dogs for that matter.
