Welp, it would be better for "militia" to interrogate him, true interrogation - not 'punitive', before he enters the prison system where he will first clam up, then say what they want him to say, and then die.

Nope agree this was a mistake. He should not have released that info if you don’t know you have the suspect. Say we have persons of interest in custody but not the suspect in custody.
