CNN
I can’t believe I’m saying this, but Kim Kardashian is a hero for this. I’m thanking god she is working with Trump on prison reform, releasing non-violent offenders, and hopefully eventually helping end the War on Drugs. She should absolutely be commended for this.
Oh but not by CNN “objective journalists”. fricking hack Jim Acosta, who is easily the most narcissistic person in the White House when he is there, says it’s a national embarrassment she’s allowed in the White House: Twitter
Meanwhile Obama had Snoop, who lit up a joint in the WH, and fricking Jussie Smollett, not to mention dozens of other dipshit celebrities. He gave Barbra Streisand the American Medal of Freedom, who has been a loathsome count to basically everyone. But yeah, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West, and Tiger Woods are the enemy. For frick’s sake.

CNN has learned that the E! star has been quietly working behind the scenes over the past three months to help commute the life sentences of 17 first-time nonviolent drug offenders.
Brittany K. Barnett, Kardashian West's personal attorney and co-founder of the Buried Alive Project, and MiAngel Cody, lead counsel of the The Decarceration Collective, told CNN that Kardashian West has been instrumental in the release of these inmates.
“Kim has been funding this project and (has been) a very important supporter of our 90 Days of Freedom campaign as part of the First Step Act, which President Trump signed into law last year," Cody said. "We've been going around the country in courtrooms and asking judges to release these inmates."
Barnett added that without Kardashian West footing the bill, this would not have been possible. "(Kim) has provided financial support to cover legal fees so that we can travel the country. Our relationships with our clients don't end when they are freed. (Kim) is truly dedicated to the issue. I work personally with her, we are really grateful."
But she's not just paying legal fees.
"When people get out of prison, they might be incarcerated hundreds of miles from their families and they might need help getting home. Really important, critical things that people might not realize -- and those are things Kim is helping with as well," Cody added.

i don't want to give them too much credit, but i don't think the kardashian/jenner family is quite as bad as people make them out to be. obviously bruce is a disaster, but let's pretend that never happened.

A life sentence for non violent drug offenders is beyond insane.

A life sentence for non violent drug offenders is beyond insane.
if someone has two strikes and is facing a life sentence and they keep selling pot, driving intoxicated, etc., they're not fit for society.

And to think... Obama said no her when she tried to get him to pardon Alice Marie Johnson.
Such a champion of the black community.

They're shrewd and market themselves well to stay relevant,. Some folks respect them for that, and others hate them for it, but it has undeniably worked. I'll never begrudge someone their success. It's always more difficult to achieve/maintain than people believe.
Kim deserves all the praise in the world for her genuine efforts on this front.

Great individual acts, but long term -- is coopting 45 worth it? i still think they love him because the obamas wouldn't even come near them -- they don't have the grace nor the integrity to be in their midst

It’s great to see a celebrity use their fame for good, not just bitch and moan on twitter

Shut the frick up until you can answer basic arse questions, mijo.
You would literally cut off your nose to spite your face if it involved Trump. That much is quite clear.

This makes no sense.
I am pretty sure Trump hates ******s because the media has told me so.

In terms of national appeal, Kim Kardashian, as much as I may dislike her, has more appeal than Jim Acosta 1 million times over.

I think her and her husband are both good people. I really do believe they are good people.

Her and Kanye make me laugh and cringe often. With that said, great job to them for this. It is obvious they are getting backlash for working with Trump. But, they are doing a great thing for people that are serving insane sentences for their non-violent crimes.
Gotta give respect where it is due.

The mom is a psycho puppet master. Even to the point of pushing jenner to do what he did, just to stay relevant.
