He’s honestly fortunate that the two main dem candidates this cycle is a room temp iq ghetto queen and a weak bitch from Austin.
Paxton would’ve beaten both of those two either way.

Trump was worried Paxton would lose against the DEM candidates you referenced
And the context had already been specifically posted in this thread by me. It's not my fault you didn't read it when it was already out there for you to consume
I didn't leave Paxton out to dry, Trump did. He completely disagrees with you and your assessment. That's why it's funny.

Open season if they do this.
At this point, I think I’d actually like to see how this plays out, versus where we are now and where we’ve been the past 25 or so years.
If legislation can get past both houses of Congress and a presidential veto, shite let it ride and see where it leads us. If it’s truly shite, our electoral process should be enough to rectify it.
It’s hard to see how that would be worse than where we are now.

What's funny is, if it played out that way, he will have accomplished more legislatitively without serving in congress that all the rhinos there now combined.
We'd owe him a debt of gratitude. Sucks that voters are so fricking stupid that a guy like Paxton has to be sacrificed in order to get the useless bastards they keep voting for to actually represent us for a couple days.

And trust TX to vote for Paxton?
Holding the save act hostage and knighting for his RINOs is gonna backfire on Thune. Trump needs to sit this one out.
What’s Thunes offer? That they will somehow stop being RINos temporarily until after the election?

MAGA's #1 objective should be to primary John Thune in 2028. I can't believe that South Dakota hasn't kicked his corrupt arse to the curb by now.

Paxton showing he is a better man, than Cornyn could ever be. But GOP vaginas are conditioned to think he could lose to some friggin pervert. Pitiful.

I don't know (or care) whether Paxton is trying to be the better man or simply posturing to keep his political future relevance, but he's certainly put Thune, Cornyn and the rest of the Senate Republicans in an interesting box!
How badly does Thune and company want to lock this in for Cornyn? How badly does Cornyn want to avoid what at best will be a difficult runoff with an uncertain outcome? They have to be thinking that a majority of Hunt's votes will go to Paxton.
And if Cornyn says no to Paxton's offer but still wins the primary there are going to be a lot of Republicans will blame him for the defeat of the SAVE Act and stay home for the general, possibly giving an opening to Telarico.
