Kamala riding the bus when she was 4 years old?

So Kamala's big disrespect on Biden is that when she was four years old she had to ride a bus to desegregate schools.
Now I am not a wizard with ages but four years old seems pretty young to be sending your child to ride a bus to school alone?
This reminds me of when Kamala said she smoked pot to a Tupaq song in college many years before the song was written.

My middle son is 4 and he'll be riding the bus this fall to preschool, so it's not completely unbelievable. He'll have his older brother with him so he won't be completely alone, but still.
And really, who cares? She's terrible without exaggerating when she rode a bus to school.

Seems reasonable. I'd put my 4 year old on an international flight before I'd put her on a school bus.

She was born in 64 and started Thousand Oaks in 1969... so she might have been 5 and going to kindergarten...
On a side note, supposedly Thousand Oaks was fully integrated in 1968. The high school in that district was fully integrated in 63 or 64.

Was pre-school a thing back then? We had play school when i was that age (1986) and i think there may have been pre-school, but in 68?
