I thought the point being made was not wanting someone as president that failed the bar exam on their first try

No idea why JFK Jr found his way into this thread? JFK, yeah. Jr, No

Kamala is notorious for being unprepared so it is no shock.

He was cited as another person who failed the bar exam. His father didn't.

Hillary failed the DC bar exam coming out of Yale Law School, widely considered the best law school, even better than Harvard. She did pass the Arkansas bar exam, and subsequently in 2002 her law license would be suspended for 17 years for not going to continuing legal education. When she ran for president in 2008 and 2016 her Arkansas law license was on suspension. It was reinstated in 2019. (Her husband Bill's Arkansas law license was also suspended for a time).

Michelle Obama failed the Illinois bar exam twice, coming out of Harvard Law School.

Along with Kamala these are the three leading ladies of the Democrat party, all of whom failed their bar exams. It is not fatal to a legal career, but make no mistake it is a huge professional embarrassment that never really goes away.

When she passed the bar in 1990, 58% passed.

I’m not sure this is representative.

When she failed the bar in 1989, California had a bar passage rate of 79% among first time test takers and her law school had a bar passage rate of 81% among first time test takers yet she still failed.

Looking at the overall passage rate, which includes folks that have sat for the bar numerous times previously and have already failed multiple times, and may never pass brings down the bar passage rate for that year. So 58% passage rate is brought down by the folks that keep sitting for the bar and failing and will probably never pass.

When you really want to see how they match up to their peers, you want to look at bar passage rate of first time test takers. Thus, in CA the year she failed the bar, 79% of law students that took the bar the first time passed in the first try. 81% from her law schools.

In other words she was in the bottom 20% in her graduating class and all of CA when it came to passing/failing the bar.

She went to Howard and they have a 65% rate that passes the bar on the first try. The national average is around 70%. The Ivy Leauge and top law schools are around 95% or better. I wouldn't surprised if she got some kind of help to pass it. She really does have a low IQ for the positions she has held.

I don’t believe this is true, Kackles McKneepads has spent more time training in bars than the Inglorious AOC.

the bar isn't very hard compared to the CPA exam, and that is a fact. I think something like 75% or 80% pass first time (remembering back when I had my CPA license, whereas the CPA has about, or used to have about a 20% 1st time pass rate.
