Kamala campaigning in VA; black churches WTF

I just talked to my brother who is a patent attorney in DC. He has done numerous 501 (c) (3) applications for businesses and said that if any of his clients had done this, their tax empt status would be revoked immediately.
Why doesn't anyone care? Why are black churches not held to the same IRS standards?

They haven't followed a lot of laws and rules to this point, why would they follow one as trivial as this (trivial in their eyes)... I mean this is not like she was ballot harvesting or helping folks fill out ballots...

Well, as tax exempt organizations they are not allowed to actively campaign or participate in political activities or they would run afoul of their tax exempt status...
So, if they are doing this, they should at a minimum receive a fine from the IRS for doing so...

Been awhile back but some churches got into trouble for allowing flyers that just listed where the candidates stood on issues to be distributed in their Sunday morning bulletin... No mention of political party or how or who you should vote for, just where they stood on issues...
