Same caliber of person. Different biases and mindset.

I personally think Transgenderism is a mental disorder. Which should preclude you already from being able to buy a gun because you're in a hospital or care of a physician.
ADHD, PTSD and any sort of treated depression meets your criteria. You’d ban almost every veteran with that criteria.

And in the end… not accomplish much. Look at how pilots have struggled, and almost none of them will ever get treatment for anything because the immediately lose their medical. So instead we’ve got suicidal self-medicare alcoholic pilots up in front. Enjoy your flight!

There needs to be no more ink spent on gun control other than to end the one's that are already there.

We do it w criminals, what's the difference in your opinion.

The difference is they are convicted criminals. If a medical professional along with a court deem a person unfit to purchase a firearm Im on your side of the argument. But that is a very small percentage of folks that have mental illness....whether it be acute or chronic. Brought on by environmental stressors or more biological in nature. A lot of you in this thread, and many folks in general still think having mental illness means you are out there on the streets swinging a machete around or claiming to be Jesus. And that stigma around mental ilness is part of the reason a lot of folks, especially men... dont get help.

No you’re just shifting the argument to that when that won’t happen and you know it.
Ypu suck at mind reading. I simply applied your criteria. Now you don’t like it? Odd.

Are you experiencing some other symptoms? We may have another thet needs to added to the list.

Why do you think they called MAGA supports "deplorables?"

But yea, we should just trust government, because Trump is in charge.

Ok, now they are just trolling to see how far liberals will go because of their TDS. Stephen Miller is sitting in a room somewhere saying, "I bet you that I can make liberals protest AGAINST gun control."
I am starting to believe the current administration understands how stupid the other side is and are actively trolling them in many ways. It’s very entertaining.

No..we are comparing veterans with ptsd or any other person with mental illness with transgenders.

If the govt ever bans veterans from owning guns the system will collapse

If they were deemed mentally unfit by a court to own a firearm the system would not collapse. I think most here are just saying the same standard should be applied to transgenders or any other person that has a mental illness.

I can't keep up with all of these terms but I think this would be difficult to pull off. Over reaction to the shooting maybe? I'm a 2A guy all of the way and there are probably plenty of crazy arse people that should not own guns before I would down to where transgenders are on the list.

Oh yeah, with special lighting and all...lol.

There is zero doubt the far left would exploit any concessions on the 2a to pull as many guns from us as possible.

Transgenders are mentally ill, but looks like the qualification to purchase a firearm needs "adjudicated as mental defective" or "committed to a mental institution".

If we commit them to mental institutions that would disqualify them from ever owning firearms.

quote:

ATF Form 4473 includes questions about mental health.

Specifically, Section B, Question 21.f asks:

"Have you ever been adjudicated as a mental defective OR have you ever been committed to a mental institution?"

He’s backing away from his “psychopath”

ASPD is the common definition used for psychopath in the medical world. If you were in the medical world you would know that.

quote:

after I pointed out there is no definition or diagnostic criteria of psychopath in the DSMV. He’s now pivoted to ASPD

Liar. Look at the time I first posted ASPD and the first time you said there is no definition in the DSM. Your post was after mine. I even specifically called you out for missing that I cited ASPD.

quote:

Will you ever define “psychopath” for us? The DSM 5 can

Now you’re being intentionally misleading. Says a lot about you. Why did you leave out the very next word in that post? It was ASPD. You’re being flat out dishonest and proves you lost this one.

Once you realized “psychopath” wasn’t defined in the DSM like you thought, you pivoted to ASPD. Nice try, but I’m too smart for that.

How about a federal ban on affirming care for these nutjobs instead? Stop enabling them.

No I'm completely against any red flag laws.
I'm a purist.

But I don't want psychotic murder hobos in terrible makeup getting a gun and accomplishing their life's goal. I don't want that done with anything resembling gun control though. We need to be locking dangerous people up, and that's what many of these people are.
