Looks like Walz was stealing valor for political gain. Not cool. Not cool at all and may be against the law.

But at least he's not... something about democracy and Trump.

There were three US military casualties in Afghanistan which Walz could have conceivably been witness to their air flight home.
Two on January 7th, 2008.
One on January 9th, 2008.
His trip was a four-day trip that included Pakistan and Afghanistan.

What is that from? How do we know that quote wasn't made up? What is the source?
Not to defend the guy but he did travel to Iran and Afghanistan as a Representative. Could have very well witnessed something like that on the trip.

If you listen to the posted speech he said he left when his daughter was 3 and returned when she was 4. I don’t think his trips as a representative lasted a year
Sorry 2 and 3 years

It was four days. He was back in the states on January 11th, 2008.

What he's referring to there is when he was stationed somewhere in Europe for a while. He's a devious frick.

In four days, he visited Germany, Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Yea no doubt he tried to misrepresent the event if it did indeed happen.

Yep. The “representative” angle doesn’t jive with the time span

He had to carefully craft that statement to give the impression of serving in Afghanistan without ever serving in Afghanistan.
Guy was in the National Guard for over two decades. Just say that. Jesus.

No doubt about it.
He crafted his remarks to make his visit to Bagram as a congressman and his few months station in Europe as a guardsman (I forget the details on this) to sound like he served in a war zone.

8 months in Vincenza, Italy.
August 2003 - March 2004?
On March 20, 2005, Walz’s campaign put out a press release titled “Walz Still Planning to Run for Congress Despite Possible Call to Duty in Iraq.”

Was just about to post that if there is smoke, there is fire. Right now, there is an army of GOP attorneys, interns, and others combing through his speeches. This guy Walz appears to have made a habit of lying or embellishing the truth. We may have not even seen the worst of his lying about his military service. Time will tell...
