At least when I was 3. Could have been younger but everything before that is a bit fuzzy.

I really started following closely in 1988.

Was a bona fide member of the Buchanan Brigade in 1991-92

1960. Nixon JFK debate whetted my appetite for political issues. Listened on radio. Thought Nixon win.

Back in those days the evening news was about all of the political information I frequented. It was the Nixon presidency before I started reading editorial opinions.

Journalism began open propagandizing with Reagan. Clinton made it imperative to keep up with it.

Obama blew the lid off any cover journalists managed to hold. With Biden they just said “F it - we’re part of their campaign fom now on”

When I was 18 in 1983. I cofounded a chapter of College Republicans my freshman year of college and have never voted for a Democrat in my life.
