Inside the freaking bowl she stuck her fat thumb in a one handed maneuver... about 2 inches inside the bowl.. all of her fat thumb.

Then I would strongly recommend you avoid high dollar restaurants where the staff checks the temperature of your soup with a "big fat greasy thumb?"

And God Bless founder Mike Patranella, but Cotton Patch is decidedly-not a "fancy restaurant.". It is a local chain like a southern food Bennigan's, with free biscuits. Galveston has a limited number of "nice restaurants" that serve breakfast. Probably the dining room at the Galvez, unless he has a VERY different definition of "nice restaurant" than I.
