You know it's not that cows fart that's the problem, right?

It's that there are way, way, way too many of them.

Says who? How many buffalo roamed the US before they almost became extinct due to over harvesting?

The earth is literally getting greener. Today, there is five percent more foliage than twenty years ago, and it is primarily ambitious tree planting projects and intensive agriculture, mainly in China and India, that are behind the increase. This is according to satellite data from NASA Earth Observatory."

Higher temperatures cause an increase in CO2.

Warmer air can hold both more CO2 and water vapor. Now, there is something to the arguments regarding CO2 forcing, feedback loop, etc., but it has largely been exaggerated for fear porn/control reasons. Human activity is a factor in warming, but a rather lowly one, perhaps adding a few tenths of a degree centigrade over the Industrial Revolution. The climate, particularly the mean surface temperature, is largely cyclical and due to many, many factors outside human control.

The laser-like focus on CO2 has always been because it is a proxy for energy production/consumption.

Much like COVID, this has always, ever and only been about control.

Maybe we’re all still evolving with the earth… maybe stop trying to frick with the process.

Natural CO2 Emissions are About 20 Times Human Emissions, but nature is believed to absorb CO2 at about the same rate it is produced. You can think of the reservoir of atmospheric CO2 as being like a giant container of water, with nature pumping in a steady stream into the bottom of the container (atmosphere) in some places, sucking out about the same amount in other places, and then humans causing a steady drip-drip-drip into the container. Significantly, about 50% of what we produce is sucked out of the atmosphere by nature, mostly through photosynthesis. Nature loves the stuff. CO2 is the elixir of life on Earth. Imagine the howls of protest there would be if we were destroying atmospheric CO2, rather than creating more of it.

Wow, a downvote for a true factual statement. Whose that stupid on this board?

1) Nothing factual about the statement that CO2 remains constant and does not increase or decrease. CO2 can be formed by a fire combining burnt carbon with oxygen, thus CO2 levels can increase. Plants use CO2 in their respiratory cycle which separates the carbon and creates more free oxygen. CO2 levels can thus be lowered.
2) "Whose stupid..." Should read "Who's stupid" since it's a contraction of the words "who" and "is" and is not a possessive.

I think that question has been answered now.

The scientists who study this for a living. Their research is easily findable.

If only the earth were covered in some life form that used our CO2 and turned it into O2.

I think this dude is confusing methane with co2.

Like this one?

quote:

There are 94 million cows in the US, which equates to around one cow for every three people. This is approximately the same as it was ten years ago, but considerably fewer than the 104 million cows in the country in 1996.

LINK /

Here's another snippet you may find interesting.

quote:

it may not be that surprising to learn that of the billion cows in the world, 94 million cattle reside in the US. What’s more surprising is that this means the US only ranks fourth in the list of countries with the most cattle population. More than half of the world’s cattle population lives in India and Brazil.

Blame apple for the contraction

However, I blame you for your ignorant misstatements

I never said what is written above. What I said is that there is an exact finite amount of CO2 on earth. The amount has not increased or decreased since before humans

That cannot be disputed

Whether it is above the ground or below the ground changes over time but the total amount can never change

So by saying this, i'm assuming you can tell me how many cows there are on the planet, and how many there are supposed to be, right?
