There has been plenty of threads explaining, in detail, whats going on. I mean itemized.
The truth is you must be one that will only accept what you can bitch about.
This bill is not the only thing that is being done to cut the deficit.

[quote]Name the last bill you saw that had these things in it.
1. No taxes on tips — servers, bartenders, and bellhops just got a raise Promises made, promises kept
This is about the stupidest thing...
4.Overtime pay tax-free — work hard, actually keep more.
This is probably stupider.
11.“Trump Savings Accounts” for kids — build generational wealth from birth. Game changer.
Much, much better than allowing baby mommys burn through money pulled from a taxpayer and given to a leach on society for having kids they cannot afford.
12.Slashes IRS funding — no more 87,000 new agents breathing down your neck.
Probably not a good idea, since Congress has made our tax laws virtually impossible to follow. But, as a tax preparer, I appreciate the business.
17.Estate tax protections expanded — family farms and businesses stay in the family.
There should be no estate taxes; however, they should remove the step-up in basis on inheritances.
22.HSA accounts expanded — use them for direct primary care.
Maybe I should know what this means, but I don't, and I have had an HSA for about eight years up until this year.
28.Mandates voter ID for federal elections.
Will it make it through the SCOTUS?
41.Enacts Social Security tax cuts for seniors.
Promise NOT kept if it is the same that was passed by the House.
46. Creates nationwide “patriot curriculum” grant fund
We had a Civics class everyone had to take back in the 1980s; it was great.

I like all that.
Now, cut out ALL THE PORK and you got a deal. Plus probably get Elon and Rand back on board.

Lot of extra debt though. That's the issue.
But there's not. The CBO considers tax breaks to be spending. This is the majority of the "deficit spending" people keep incorrectly droning on about. The bill reduces spending in many areas but increases in a couple. The tariffs also offset any "deficit" from this bill. The bill also reduces spending indirectly in several areas, but that is never factored into the calculation.
If people against the bill would actually argue using the complete set of data instead cherry picking the item they don't like, they might actually convince some people to see it their way. The dishonesty and feigned ignorance doesn't help the cause.
The oddest thing is that many of the people who used to complain about wanting everything in smaller bills are now complaining that no spending bill will be passed unless it is added to the big bill. "It has to be in this big bill now!," is a detour from the usual rhetoric.
People just choose whatever complaint they can latch onto at the moment.

I'm for cutting spending before cutting revenue.
Got to. It’s the only way to actually make a dent in the debt. Absolutely cut spending but we still have to pay for shite past present and future

7.Deporting 1 million illegal immigrants per year
What is this? Please tell me that's not all there is to the Trump deportation plan.

There are other things in the bill that the dumbass OP doesn’t want you to know about that Elon- and actual Conservatives- doesn’t want, however— I.e. increased spending, deficit spending, waste, pork, increased debt.
You know what doesn’t affect my daily life, another 2 trillion in debt when we are already trillions in debt. You know what does affect my daily life, those 20 extra hours a week that I work that will be tax free.
