What if the mother said to the court, "I want to send my child to an Indian brothel." (like that heartbreaking documenatary Born Into Brothels.)

And the court and jury said:

"Well, that's your choice."

That would be BETTER than what this woman is trying to do...

And yet society would be up in arms over the brothel.

That's how crazy we've become.

Coppell, Texas. I never would have thought that.

Hell is hotter than Coppell, Texas in August. The good doctor will discover that one day.

Godspeed to this father and his children. I hope this gets appealed and he wins.

I wouldn't convict the man if he killed the ex-wife. Evil is a euphemism for what this woman is.

Is it normal for custodial issues to go before a jury?
Yes. We in Texas are jury-happy.

Texas is the only state in the country which allows for jury trials in conservatorship cases. I’m guessing this case is in Austin.
Dallas. This case has been going on for more than a year. We have a thread about it every time the judge rules on something. The last flurry of threads arose form the Temporary Orders.

Def not what this is about.

No way in hell you find half a jury in Texas that would vote that way if it was the real issue.

He did something else and this is the consequence of it. If he hadn’t given her some ammo to get sole, she couldn’t do it because he would own half of all medical decisions
he lost all rights related to medical decisions wayback in the original divorce, long before this transgender issue ever arose. I’m not sure it was related to anything he did as much as the fact that the mother is a pediatrician.

The fact that the mother had the right to make all medical decisions unilaterally from the very beginning is the situation that gave rise to this dispute.

This is one of the many reasons you don’t abandon your kids by getting divorced.

I’m not judging the dude but life is full of rewards and risks. This is one of the risks you take when you choose a divorce.
And how do you plan to prevent a divorce when the other spouse wants one in a no-fault state?

Execute the family. Apparently the father entertained the deranged woman’s bullshite until it fell into his backyard.

They just literally created a serial killer.

Someone, somewhere 20 years from now is going to die in a gas station bathroom because of this Mom, this court and this jury.

You can bank on the documentary coming to Netflix...and the questions, how could this happen?

He was such a sweet boy when he was 5.

What could've changed him to be so angry?

Uh...his mother cut his dick off? That's pretty decent grounds to be pissed off at the world.

I wonder why some doctors are willing to remove or alter or whatever perfectly normal organs. If you asked to get a couple of fingers clipped would they perform that surgery? In the the 20th century this would be called mental illness

This is one of the most distressing story's I have heard in a while. Especially considering 11 people actually sided with the psychotic mother. Talk about a fricked society, this is freaking sick.

Where the hell is Texas republican leadership on this fricked up story?

There should be outrage from Governor Abbott, both Senators Cruz and Cornyn a d Texas State house members and doing everything they can to pass legislation and executive orders preventing nightmares like this from happening again.
