Time to go back to government cheese and such.

SNAP is out of control and full of fraud. Needs to be cut completely and start over under strict control to issue only to those who truly need it.
Practically everything is out of control and in need of draconian oversight like it's their money.

Has SNAP been reformed?

Talked to a coca-cola rep, they're expecting sales to drop fairly significantly.

I don’t think those should only be banned from EBT.
They should be outright illegal. We have an obesity crises in this country. Everyone is tired of paying higher premiums for people making unhealthy choices

I’m sorry, but Shaniqua and LaMarcus need these items to survive.

The other thing they're going to do is increase demand for milk, bags of sugar, meat, cheese, and other staples, as people buy other items and look to figure out how to still get a sugar fix. It'll be interesting to see what happens to prices in these other categories.
Not really, there will be a market for bartering. A 12 pack of coke for a rack of ribs, etc.

Get mine at the dollar store or wait for the BOGO at the grocery store.

This shite is ridiculous and always has been.
SNAP should only be used for bare and healthy essentials.

Also, I'm sure people will buy some steaks with an EBT card so they can trade them for packs of soda or candy. This is going to drive up the price of steak and other meat, and if they are trading them, then the price of candy and so forth won't move. Demand will still hold steady. We all know non-EBT people will buy $5 of candy and trade it for $7 of steak. This imbalance will drive the price up for unrestricted items. The people hurt the most will be those just over the threshold for receiving SNAP.
This is an expose on how the SNAP program is bullshite to begin with.
No one on SNAP should be able to buy steak. If you are on SNAP you should be limited on the qtys of items you can buy. If you are on SNAP you should not have free reign on what you can buy. If you are on SNAP you should have very limited choices.
The current SNAP program is the equivalent of ordering off a menu on the back of the American tax payer. It’s insulting.

Not big difference between Big Junk Food and Big Pharma.
Both represent billion dollar interest who lobby congress for every penny of taxpayer money
A HUGE part of their revenue comes from Uncle Sam
Coke NA,Pepsi Co,etc are probably all in a panic

Fortunately this is clearly the only industry that this has happened to, and we haven't seen drastic price increases for industries where mass amounts of government money had been freed up for consumers to use.
Agriculture input costs are high due to govt subsidies and bailouts of farmers. BigAg charges whatever they want because they know at end of day the govt won’t let the farmers go under
Cost of higher education is due to federal programs and money. A lot of bullshite degrees and majors would get the axe if student loans were only given out for studies that have an average salary return justifying taking on that debt

The only people that drink cokes and eat chips are people on food stamps because a bag of chips is too expensive for a taxpayer to buy now
Yes. I never swallow food like this but on the occasions where I crave chips Ill chew and spit some $1.25 bag from Dollar Tree. Never name brand as those bags cost $3.99 and up.

I live in the Coca-Cola capital of the world and I swear it is more expensive in Atlanta than anywhere else I have ever seen cokes sold
