THIS. I used to think it were a strategy to ignore laws on purpose...to ultimately test the whether or not those laws were Constitutional. Now I think it's legal incompetence.

We already had 4 years of a Trump admin where they could not stop stepping on their dick with unforced errors. I don't understand why we thought this one would be different when guys like Miller have an even bigger role this time.

In self defense of an existential threat the rule book gets tossed out.
That's the way it has always been and always will be.

Lincoln did it when he suspended Habeas Corpus and arrested the Maryland delegation.
FDR did it when he rounded up people of Japanese and German ancestry.

None of this shite that Federal Judges keep doing would hold up at higher courts, and they k kw it, and don't care. All part of the plan to attack for 4 years. There are lower iq people out there like you thatbwill believe anything....thus the non stop rulings that are truly unconstitutional and won't hold up....and your sorry arse acts like it is the same on both political sides. I hope you are a woman. If you are a white man, how embarrassing

In theory this is correct but when Congress can not, or will not, do their jobs it's pretty much the only way to run a Presidency

The admin (not specifically Trump. He's not creating these policies or writing these EOs), specifically Stephen Miller.

So it's just not possible that the judges are incompetent (or worse)? All of these rulings, even the ones that get overturned, are the fault of the administration?

For the one facing imminent annihilation, there are no constitutions, there are no laws, there are no morals, there are no ethics.

Everything is boiled down to one binary operation, die, or try to survive.

Now, after whatever survival action is taken and survival is accomplished the survivor may well have to face the laws and morals, but that comes later.

In the moment of threat, none of those things exist.

We're not.

The authoritarian playbook almost always involves creating fake crises or amplifying lesser crises into an existential threat to get emotional thinkers doing what you just did.

Stop.

As always with a big system, there are some questionable rulings and some stronger ones.

The recent one on the AEA (the thread is on the first page) is causing melts, but it's a legit ruling. It wasn't even projected outside of its jurisdiction.

The one recently from California looks pretty legit (and is limited as well).

You have to look at each one and analyze it on its own. Trying to turn it into a vague mass of some institutional threat is leftist thinking.
