Actually…
I am classically trained and my degree has earned me a very nice living and way of life. It’s not so much what to think as it is how to think and a good humanities/liberal arts education does that. Critical and analytical thinking is in short supply nowadays.

Honestly, I've come to the conclusion that those are innate attributes that you're either born with or not. At least as they apply to the context of the day, i.e. viewing debates from every possible angle prior to settling on a position. In any case, I do agree, it's a fairly rare occurrence.
