No, he’s not. If you take hormones to get a beard you’re a transexual. The case being discussed was about a transgender, not a transexual.

From your link

These definitions are not strict, however. Some feel that the word transsexual should not always refer to physical changes.

Thanks for playing though.

Thanks for playing? I’ve tried to have a discussion with you twice and you just can’t do it without eventually sounding like a 7th grader. Never mind.

Except your not bringing anything to the conversation besides your own obvious prejudices.

Sorry but you don’t support your argument.

You tried to make a point and didn’t even read your source.

And that’s where the state of our logic is today. “Some people think that if you say you’re a male, you’re a male.”

Except for the ruling is on the umbrella meaning.

Period.

I will ask this question and it's a simple one to ask and to answer.

Are guys in HS that identify as a girl now allowed to use the girls bathrooms even if they have had no surgery, hormone replacement and still have all their natural testosterone, balls, and penis?

So someone I described would fall under the umbrella term.

The more important questions to ask, and even simpler really:

-what are they doing now? Using whatever they want which is almost always the option that draws the least attention.

-is this creating problems? No. We know this because it happens all the time and literally nobody notices or gives a shite.

-would making new laws on this issue create more problems than solutions? Absolutely.

This is an issue both parties would be wise to leave be, instead of getting bent out of shape over semantics debates.

International Society for Sexual Medicine:
A transsexual is a person who physically transitions from male to female or vice versa.

MedicalDaily.com: Transsexuals are people who transition from one sex to another. Transgender, unlike transsexual, is a term for people whose identity, expression, behavior, or general sense of self does not conform to what is usually associated with the sex they were born in the place they were born. It is often said sex is a matter of the body, while gender occurs in the mind.

GLAAD.org "transgender identity is not dependent upon physical appearance or medical procedures."
Transexual: An older term that originated in the medical and psychological communities. Still preferred by some people who have permanently changed - or seek to change - their bodies through medical interventions, including but not limited to hormones and/or surgeries.

And you're 100% correct. The ruling deals with transgender, so I can dress and act exactly as I currently do and simply identify as a female and I'm transgender.

I would Say you have to express as female as well as identify,

But I wouldn't Say you need to get surgery or hormones.

BTW... age doesn't matter. You could have a teen enter an elementary school and he could walk into a little girls room.

I wonder if the ruling applies to the faculty restrooms as well...

No, that’s not what this he/she wanted. They wanted to the option that caused the most disruption, and a school is not the general public. Every student at that school is gong to know what sex the person is; it’s not some random stranger at the Burger King. They were offered an option that didn’t draw attention and it wasn’t good enough.

Oh I just Can’t think of on secular reason not to allow gay marriage.

And you said marriage isn’t religious.

So clearly you’re pro-gay marriage.

Oh I didn’t read it. My opinion is more overarching of the issue in general. This time it was some liberal, last time it was some conservative w target, and so on and so on.

But if what you say is right, then I agree.

Boy that’s one hell of a slippery slope. Just have to take their word for it, right?

It was never not allowed. At least as long as I've been alive.
