A judge has dismissed the murder case against Lonoke County sheriff candidate Aaron Spencer, citing serious due-process violations and misconduct by investigators. The ruling focused on mishandled and lost dash-cam evidence, with the judge concluding that law enforcement's conduct was so egregious that dismissal was warranted.

"The Court finds that conduct by law enforcement was so egregious that dismissal of this case is warranted."
The charge was second-degree murder in the shooting death of Michael Fosler. Spencer was accused of shooting Fosler after seeing him driving his daughter. Fosler had previously been charged with raping Spencer's underage daughter and was out on bond at the time of the shooting.

I have no problem with this. It may not have gone through the court system but the perp cashed the check he had written IMHO

At the time of the shooting, Fosler, 67, was out on bond after being charged with dozens of sexual offenses against Spencer’s then-13-year-old daughter. Court documents show on the night of the shooting, Spencer had woken up to find his daughter missing, and later found the girl in the passenger seat of a vehicle Fosler was driving. Spencer forced Fosler’s truck off the road and, after an altercation, called 911 to report he had shot the man.

I live in Lonoke county. Everybody was pissed at the Sherriff's dept. There was never any chance a jury of his peers was going to convict a father for protecting his, already abused, daughter against the abuser.
Justice served.
Justice served.

But the cops will get to keep their jobs.

It’s becoming clear that our judicial system is being subverted by those who want to see it destroyed or used as a tool for their political agenda that it’s no longer providing justice for average Americans.
If this isn’t quickly addressed I fully expect to see vigilantism increase along with corresponding violence against agents of the courts who actively subvert the process not that I’m calling for that in any way.
But an armed population who feels that they aren’t being protected by the courts has almost always historically taken that into their own hands when the misconduct becomes endemic.
