This keeps happening over and over. We need a judicial purge. People need to start suing these judges.

Allow the families to sue the driver AND the judge...Once judges have to defend their decisions in front of other judges with their own money, I bet they would go back to reading the laws and applying appropriate punishment.

Well the fine citizens of Austin will tell you that you have to crack some eggs to make a good breakfast.

If he killed five white people, including a baby, that will make him a hero in the eyes of the progressives that run that city.

Remember, there is no two-tier justice system. That is just your imagination. If you think otherwise, you are a Nazi.

Women should never ever be in position of power. Too emotional.

Very few exceptions

Judges should 110% be held accountable for any crime that is committed after they let a dangerous criminal back on to the streets to terrorize innocent people once again.

If average people are held liable for negligent behavior then judges should be too. No one is above the law remember.

From “no justice! No peace!” To “peace out!”

Of course the usual suspects will come and spin this in how the law is fair to all. If not still biased against the perp.

Suing an Attorney is hard
Suing a Guardian ad Litem is almost impossible, or even getting them sanctioned.
Suing a judge would seem to be impossible.

At some point the two tier justice system is going to end up with people suing judges or more

Being that the person is foreign I’d deem them a significant flight risk

Blame was being assigned to the truck driver based on the suspicion he was under the influence. Toxicology blood tests and breathalyzer tests proved negative. He may still be the guy blame ultimately falls to, but it needs to come after a thorough investigation, not a presumption based on supposed drug or alcohol use.

The story says the high bail was a function of intoxication being a crux of the charges, but lab tests showed no drugs or alcohol.

Aside from the justifiable outrage about the carnage, what is the legal argument for the higher bail if intoxication was not a factor?

I’m all for full prosecution, but I’m even more for following due process. Happy to be shown the legal issues. I’m not a lawyer and won’t act like I am.
