The man took a knee. I thought that's what they wanted us to do.

The second degree unintentional murder (WTF?) and second degree manslaughter charges remain, however. The most serious charge was dismissed.

FIFY.

It's a lesser charge than third degree murder.

He was charged with 2nd and 3rd degree.

3rd degree was the lesser charge.

This isn't good news for Derek.

He is still being charged with 2nd degree murder and 2nd degree manslaughter. 3rd degree murder is a killing that occurred when there wasnt intent to kill. For example, I shoot 30 rounds in the air and one falls and kills someone. If im in a state that recognizes 3rd degree murder then that is what id likely be charged with.

super cold and snowy in MPLS right now. Would be impressive if they went out and rioted this week/weekend

The judge's position makes sense on why he dismissed it. Still kept the other charges against Chauvin
