One of my neighbors has had a Trump sign in his yard since before the 2016 election, but he took it down the other day. I asked him why, and he just said he “made a big mistake.” Next time I see him, I’m going to ask what the tipping point was." this was on the 21st

on the 27th he came back with this:

"I just asked my neighbor why he removed the Trump sign from his lawn, where it had been since 2016. He replied, “I couldn’t ignore his racism any longer. My son [10 years old] asked why I still support him, and I had no answer. If you lose your kid’s respect, you’ve got nothing.” This is the 2nd Jon Cooper tweet

One of my friends I blocked last year on FB (Because I couldn't deal with this rhetoric) , I went over to his wall to see what he had posted recently, the 2nd Jon Cooper tweet was on his wall

white christian Millennial... He's a nurse, both his parents were teachers for 35 years... Nice family, but very opinionated about Trump, they do not like him at all..

oh well...I guess they don't like me anymore because I am supporter of Trump...

Couldn’t ignore his racism? Why did he give an example of his racism? It shouldn’t be hard. It is the left’s and msm favorite talking point. Trump is racist but they never offer any evidence to support this claim.

He liked you enough to give you an honest answer to your honest question. Why assume the hate?

ETA: disregard. I think I misread. I too am too high to understand what you are saying.

Not sure who Jon Cooper is, but if your ten year old dictates your politics you're a damn moron.

I don't care where he sticks his dick, what he calls blacks, if he thinks women are inferior, uses curse words, etc etc......He's not in office for that. He's in office to make America economically strong, militarily strong and maintain our freedoms. What do all these people think Obama, Clinton(s), Biden, Bush(es), etc were like? They are mortals with flaws. If we are only electing the flawless, then we'll always be without a leader. And all those other flawed leaders had more important things on the agenda than America.

He had no answer. That’s part of the problem right there.

I blocked him because of his FB posts are often so anti trump...

I still like the guy...but I turned off his feeds so I don't get triggered every morning, make sense? LOL

I ventured over to see what he has posted after the shootings and this was it...

Jon Cooper seems to tweet more than our President...

Dude missed a good opportunity to explain to him not to believe everything you read and hear. Also, for his son to trust his family and not his teacher or other adults.

Is this some new trend where we value children's thoughts and opinions as valid? My 6 year old has a friend who has a stepmom. My kid told me that her friend's mom died. I later found out the 2nd part wasn't true and my 6 year old was just assuming that the mom was dead because my kid doesn't understand what "stepmom" means.

It sounds like the OP's friend already believed Trump was a little racist and was ok with it, but now he's become a bit too racist because his kid started asking about it. Sounds like your friend is a dumbass on all levels.

Not Obama. When he was done with mere humans, he left the Oval Office and retired to Mt. Olympus.

If you lose your ten year old kid's respect, maybe their opinion is worthless. You know cause they're ten?
