Doing something heroic in your life does not exempt you from being a schmuck later in life. Benedict Arnold, Napoleon, and yes... even the overused Adolf Hitler are all examples of men who did something noble and/or heroic when they were young only to end up being a douchbag later in life, and McCain is most certainly a douchbag. And a liar. And two-faced. And a fraud. And has no honor.

McCain was a hero for his service to this country, not for being captured or for serving in the senate.
