Gotta say... I hope to Hell the Dems don't listen to him.
I downvoted, and I'll tell you why.
This kind of thinking will only keep making things worse. This kind of thinking keeps us divided, and that's what the uniparty wants.
I don't want that, because that is what is tearing this country apart. I want moderate Dems, however many are left, to speak up, defy party leadership and say, "Enough is enough."
Thank you, Sen. Fetterman for saying what needs to be said. The Democrat party is ruled by its most radical wing, and most of the politicians are terrified of them.
If they could distance themselves from the nutjobs, perhaps Dems and GOP can start working together to solve problems instead of constantly making them worse.
We are nearly $40 TRILLION in debt. $40 TRILLION!!! We cannot keep doing things the way they've been done.
We need positive change, and if that means the Dems drop their extremist ways, then I'm all for it.

He has the potential to hold a lot of power in a very polarized Washington. It’s not the same time period, but something like a John Breaux former LA senator.

He needs to switch. Dude has definitely made some sort of recovery after his stroke (Not just saying that because I actually like some of what he's saying).
Does he still have that overbearing, cringeworthy wife?

First words, "never gonna change my party."
Then what's the point. You admit you're on the wrong side, but stay with them, and vote with them.

The big man has turned out to be a reasonable competitor!

He's laying the groundwork to make the switch

We need the democratic leadership to come on tv together and say clearly: “We disagree with the republicans on almost every topic. We don’t always like the way they talk about us. But they are not our enemy. They are not coming to round you up. They’re not fascists or threats to democracy. We ask all of our followers and the media to help us in opposing their message, but to turn down the hate we see all around us. We commit to doing so ourselves and will partner with the right to eliminate political violence wherever it might exist.”
The Dems ARE radical now. So this cannot happen.

Thank you for this. I needed the genuine LOL.

If something along those lines doesn't happen then its clear they are as radical as you say they are.
It would be the easiest thing in the world to do and would probably improve their chances politically if nothing else.
But yet they don't do it...

Maybe the rest of his party needs to have a stroke and they dont recover or come out alive.

How many people had Fetterman on their bingo card as the smartest democrat

This right here.
Some influential operative needs to get it into somebody’s head (or somebodies’ heads) that their favorability polling can’t sink much lower and there’s an easy way up — at least somewhat up.

Yup. Sounds like the only one with any common sense.

Fetterman needs to come over to the better side
He's already more of a fighter for common sense than all the RINOs...

Never thought I’d ever say this about Fetterman, but he’s the smartest and most level-headed Democrat out there. Kudos to him for not toeing the company line.

Well the bar is low on that but you ain't wrong

Dude went from full retard to coherent and thoughtful individual.

John Fetterman is a unique medical marvel. The stroke fixed his brain

The stroked out retard is like a F’ing genius compared to other Democrats. I listen to this dude with my mouth open, thinking OMG, how is this even possible
