No. You’re wrong. He was an adminstrator for his last several years in government. And like I said before, if his “expertise” is absolutely needed then a lack of a clearance means absolutely nothing.
Are you kidding me? He would definitely need clearance for them to share information with him in order to gain advice. He would have to have some understanding of a situation before he comment too much on it. Brain: use it.

If it’s that important, the president can ask him anything he wants whether he has a clearance or not.

The president isn't a king or something. They still have to follow protocol as it pertains to classified information.

So 1) he can’t obtain classified info because he just prances around the old office and 2) he can’t make money off of it.
Sounds like a solid case for him to not have it any more.
Why help that Anti American Constitution Lobbyist Dick and others like him

You don’t understand how much the private sector is involved in the intelligence community. Stripping clearances when you leave your agency or the military isn’t feasible because of how many of those people go into contracting. Monatizing your clearance is technically a crime though so Brennan confessed.

John Owen Brennan (born September 22, 1955) is an American intelligence official who served as the Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) from March 2013 to January 2017. He served as chief counterterrorism advisor to U.S. President Barack Obama; with the title Deputy National Security Advisor for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism, and Assistant to the President. His responsibilities included overseeing plans to protect the country from terrorism and respond to natural disasters, and he met with the president daily. Previously, he advised Obama on foreign policy and intelligence issues during the 2008 election campaign and presidential transition. Brennan withdrew his name from consideration for Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) in the first Obama administration over concerns about his support, while serving under President George W. Bush, for transferring terror suspects to countries where they might be tortured. Instead, Brennan was appointed Deputy National Security Advisor, a position which did not require Senate confirmation.
Brennan's 25 years with the CIA included work as a Near East and South Asia analyst, as station chief in Saudi Arabia, and as director of the National Counterterrorism Center. After leaving government service in 2005, Brennan became CEO of The Analysis Corporation, a security consulting business, and served as chairman of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, an association of intelligence professionals.
Brennan served in the White House as Assistant to the President for Homeland Security between 2009 and 2013. Obama nominated Brennan as his next director of the CIA on January 7, 2013. The ACLU called for the Senate not to proceed with the appointment until they confirmed that "all of his conduct was within the law" at the CIA and White House. Brennan was approved by the Senate Intelligence Committee on March 5, 2013, to succeed David Petraeus as the Director of the CIA by a vote of 12 to 3.
On August 15, 2018, President Donald Trump announced that he revoked Brennan's security clearance. Brennan harshly criticized Trump several times since he was elected, and he responded to the revocation by stating "My principles are worth far more than clearances. I will not relent."
Brennan serves as a senior national security and intelligence analyst for NBC News and MSNBC. His inaugural appearance was on Meet the Press with Chuck Todd on Sunday, February 4, 2018.

Rush said it best yesterday. Having a security clearance
means you can walk around the Swamp and go to high end Swamp parties and say "Oh look at me, I have a security clearance." It means you are part of the Swamp upper class and can look down upon the lower to middle class Swampers and say I'm better than you. It's being part of the exclusive "Club" of DC.

As someone that had a TS/SCI clearance i’d say, “yeah, he does understand it and yeas you are a partisan hack.”
Once an individual leaves the position that required the clearance, the clearance should be suspended. In the case of John Brennan, and others that have knowingly leaked or used the position for personal gain, it should be revoked and they should be prosecuted.
I say again, yes you are a partisan hack regarding this issue, because you have a fundamental lack of understanding about the issue and are only repeating what you hear some hack on CNN repeat.

Certainly reasons 2 & 3; reason 1 is he isn't a Gov't official anymore.

Uh, it was revoked. And even after that, he can’t simply tell the truth. What a self serving POS.

I posted yesterday that these security clearances are worth a small fortune. Book deals and TV contracts are easier to secure if you're viewed as an informed insider.

Entitlement
That’s the word.
Seems like he thinks they are entitled to lucrative financial benefits from having a security clearance. NO! Do your job and when you leave, it’s over, you’re own on your own.

But think about how great it would be to get on your board somebody who can walk into an agency like what’s up fellas? Then they go back to the board and deliver the goods.
I will bow to your expertise in this matter - but I am under the impression that you cannot just walk into the agency and begin boning up on "what's up?" Would you not still need to have an authenticated 'need to know?'
I believe that having such people on your boards is that it gives the imprimatur of authenticity and relativity and trustworthiness.
Workers in a private business can get their required employees cleared for access to what they 'need to know' but it takes time for the agencies to do the required background checks. Having someone on board who has been re-certificed no more that 5 years ago, speeds up this process - especially at the board level when company decisions need to be made quickly.
