Imo, the massive story here isn’t how terrible this mining is.

The guy lost me a bit when he said that EVs “are a net gain” despite showing us that cobalt mining is, today, far more inhumane and dangerous than any mining processes for internal combustion fuels.

Yep. Every corporation involved vows in writing there is no human digging, but not only is this false, it’s nothing more than slave labor under inhumane circumstances.

Th gilded elites on the coasts get their clean conscious at the expense of all the poor and downtrodden...
For those who have read "Heart of Darkness", you know of the horrors from the time and place. Well, it has come back around again...
The Irony is the Coastal Elites pushing this, believe that Western Civilization was an evil force exploiting the underdeveloped world at that time.
