Surprisingly MS is one of only 4 states that doesn’t allow for non-medical vaccine exemptions. That means the philosophical or religious exemption that many other states have does not apply in MS, specifically in regards to public schools but it sets a precedent.

FDA is about to change the Covid vaccines from Emergency use to General Use.
It won't take long for private businesses of all sizes along with insurance companies to be separating the vaxxed from the unvaxxed.
Being unvaccinated is going to get expensive before long.

My job hasn’t mandated vaccines yet. Is there really legal implications for these companies that do? They’re basically giving you a “choice”. I currently have a vaccinated co-worker with COVID. They now have pericarditis. Is that from COVID or a combination of that and vaccine….who knows at this point. Hasn’t the Supreme Court already struck down cases for vaccine mandates?
Things have been heated here in MS the past few weeks. I’m lucky to work for an employer that hasn’t mandated, but I’m curious how these situations are going to work out.
You have legal rights. You can refuse and let them fire you and then sue. There will be tons of wrongful termination lawsuits that will result from this. What the Democratic party and the business community is doing is attempting to ramrod people into doing something because they expect you to be ignorant of the law. The law will settle this but that takes time. The Democrats and businesses hope you can't wait out a lawsuit or that you don't think you can find an adequate job replacement.

Mine did as well, 2 weeks ago.
Strange, that is the same day I submitted my letter of resignation.
Had planned on retiring. Just happened earlier than I had expected. September 11, 2021. Hoo-fricking-ray!
Could have sworn that you stated in the Q thread that you got the vaccine. Were you thinking about getting it and then decided against it?

I did receive the vaccine in December 2020.
That does not mean I support others not having the choice for themselves.
The mandates are bull shite and I feel strongly about that.

I was told by Lsupride87 that the novaVAX vaccine is comparable to Pfizer or Moderna as far as spike proteins?

So is anyone working on a traditional vaccine? I would be much more open to a plain old traditional vaccine like the flu shot.

Don’t get “sick with COVID” would be my first thought, unless your place of employment is mandating you get tested on the job periodically.
That would make it more difficult to keep your medical diagnosis private.

Why are all the companies requiring the vaccine when the CDC isn't?
Posted on 8/20/21 at 8:26 pm to IslandBuckeye
I swear I thought you were a doctor lol

Yes I received the vaccination.
It was my choice for better or worse. Everyone should be afforded the same opportunity.
Thanks on well wishes. Time will be spent around 3 things: Relax, Learn, Explore. Politics will fall to the bottom of the list.

Geez, that's shrewd.

They're basically the same. I got maderna. But it comes with 2 shots. You may need the second to get the 99% ish immunity.

bouncing around the organization, if one does not have the vaccine and gets sick from covid.
I’d ask them if that will or has ever been applied for flu shots

Thanks for the explanation.
Thought you left because of the mandate upon yourself as being not "vaccinated".
Sounds like you ready to go any way.

is this even legal? I would think not
It's the strangest thing in the world how people want to treat unvaccinated people who get Covid differently than smokers who get lung cancer, drinkers who get liver cancer, fatties who die of heart attacks at 50, etc. If you get sick you get sick. There are ways to prevent many causes of death. But before 2021 no one cared about that.

Why doesn't natural immunity play? Studies show its very effective. Doesn't drop off with mutations either. Can't I legally claim immunization per company policy? Im vaccinated by the virus. I have the literal covid vaccine.
