If Republicans had veto proof majorities in the House and Senate they wouldn't get anywhere with their demands. Until they can tell the FBI that they're gutting their funding to less than 10% of its current level (if not entirely) and actually mean it they will never get any answers

This is a political and legal issue. The FBI should release the documents to the Judiciary committee. By giving the documents could hurt, because JIm Jordan is a very vocal member of the committee. Once he sees the documents he will not be able voice some of his opinions on certain issues
