maybe if trump didn't lie so much , this wouldn't be happening

You TDS nerds love to say this shite. What is he lying about, "so much?" I also hear that he constantly acts "lawlessly," yet when folks like the Seditious 8 are pressed to provide examples, they cannot.

This is happening because Obama and Biden gave them billions in cash, dropped sanctions on them and turned a blind eye while allowing them to enrich uranium to 60%. Communications from our govt is suspect even in the best of times. During wartime, it's even more suspect regardless of who's in office. So, I don't trust much of it from our govt, and none of it from Iran.

That said, there are some things that can be trusted from our govt, and usually those things are obvious.

Who pays the tariff on each product depends on the elasticity of the supply and demand curves. For some products it will be almost completely the producer; for some it will be almost completely the consumer; and for some it will be about evenly split.

The consumer doesn't pay any of these fees.

The foreign exporter might lower the price to compensate and/or the importer might raise the price for consumers, but we know for a fact since Trump lost his SCOTUS case that the importer actually pays the fee. That can't be argued any more. It's been shown to be a fact.

That's true whether the producer lowers the price to compensate or whether the importer raises the price to compensate.

Which is why no one was talking about giving refunds to individuals or foreign producers after Trump lost that case.

I’ll try to find a link for you. But to determine what percentage is paid by the consumer and the producer you insert a vertical line segment, equal in magnitude to the tariff, from the left side of the supply and demand graph until its end points simultaneously intersects both curves. The percentage of the line segment that is above the old equilibrium point is the percentage paid by the consumer. It will be different from good to good because their supply and demand curves are different. This is not opinion; it is a mathematical certainty.

I didn’t have time to review this, but I think this is a link that will show you
