Why did he compare minority status to disabilities?

2-time SEC Academic Honor Roll. Got his BS in 3 years (actually graduated before declaring for the NFL draft after his Junior Season).

White players should avoid playing for him?

Good luck. I hope he’s ready to lose a lot of games on missed FG.

I can't hear all of the audio. Did he actually state that White players shouldn't play for him?

Hopefully he fails spectacularly. Of course, he will cry racism.

If we want to follow his advice, lets start with the crime stats. Thats the huge racial elephant in the room

You are far behind.

People who say they don’t see color are now the real racists.

His degree was in Sport Management. I don’t think your statement says what you think it says, but nice effort.

Taking 12 hours a semester in some BS coaching curriculum and being on the honor roll should be a given.

Sounds like he inadvertently shot himself in the foot. "The Patriots hired me because I'm a black guy," is what this sounds like.

Good luck to the few white players and few white coaches on this staff. Doesn't sound like a good start.

He played at UT when Phil Fulmer had Grad Assistants taking tests and writing papers for athletes. 2008 was when that was exposed, Phil was fired, and players left early for the NFL, if eligible.
Mayo may not have been quite the scholar his academic record would indicate.

With the current culture in this country he feels “empowered” to utter that crap.

I watched some of that press conference and it didn’t really get any better referring to whites, disabled, etc. as “those” people. “Those” people put him in his new job.

Also, he uttered something along the lines that “race doesn’t matter, but it does matter”.

Not sure how many wins I see for Jerod going forward.

What did he say that you don’t agree with? Everyone sees color, unless you’re literally color blind. Do you not think we’re different culturally based on our racial makeup or where we’re from? Do you not think some people are treated differently based on their race/color? I’m not saying it’s nearly as prevalent as the media would have you believe. But if you tell me you don’t see color, I call bullshite. He was asked a question because he’s the first black coach of the Patriots. You can take issue with the question, but his answer was perfectly fine and pretty subdued.
