This appears to have been a “no shite, Sherlock” situation.
Discussing classified stuff with people like Page not cleared for it make it open and shut. Doubly so if he was found to be leaking to the press.

Hey Jeff, in the military he would have lost his clearance sometime around January 2017

Exactly....all these even close to the situation should have lost their clearances and any connections to any government computer systems.

As he "understands".
If he truly was awake, he would've said that he took Strzok's clearance away and reprimanded him in harsh terms like he's actually the Attorney General.
Not a simple sentence of saying that he understands he lost his security clearance.
