Income tax is pure theft. No one,not even a government, has a moral or ethical right to take away from anyone’s rightfully earned income.

I can get behind this

the problem with this is they're still trying to replace taxes - just eliminate the taxes and learn to do more with less like every MFer outside of government.

Landry also wants to eliminate on Jan. 1 the granting of new tax breaks that aim to generate investment in Louisiana but that produce a low rate of return on taxes. These include such programs as the Motion Picture Investor Tax Credit

Most of these television directors, etc. are hard leftists, making shows and movies which mock what many of us believe (both in terms of politics and spiritual matters). You can't stop your enemy from mocking you; you don't have to pay him/her to do so.

I sure hope not. That list would be a massive expansion of sales tax.

I guess that's one way to create inflation, just like tariffs.

Yeah, and it would be wrong for them to change your retirement benefit after the fact. If there isn’t some provision for retired state workers, I’d expect a lawsuit.

Again, not debating whether or not state retirement income should have ever been tax free. It is what it is, but it’s wrong to change someone’s deal. Change it for new hires if you want, sure.
