Only time will tell. But Trump even said he didn't see JD as his successor. If he destroys the goodwill Trump has created with minorities then he will be a huge detriment.

The economy will drive everything. Four years of MSM sky screaming and a shitty economy will result in a Dem prez. If inflation settles down and people are generally doing well, maybe JD can fight the propaganda machine with his chilled out style.

They really don't matter nearly as much of the feeling that people are tired of a given party/policies. Kamala objectively had a better debate performance than Mr. "they are eating the cats and dogs", yet it didn't matter as people were rightfully sick of Bidens/Kamalas policies.
It all depends on how the general public feels about the current presidency 3.5 years from now.
