I find it particularly amusing people that want a "carbon tax", a "sugar tax", an taxes (it's not a penalty!!) if you don't buy health insurance... suddenly have a beef with the government using the tax code to incentivize behavior.

How any so called small govt conservative supports that statement is wild. Letting the govt be a moral compass deciding what to tax more is such a democrat principle it’s wild we are here

Sounds like he’s against raising taxes on taxpayers who have kids. Those without kids won’t be affected. Essentially, he’s advocating for lower taxes.

I think it would be very healthy if everyone realized taxes are very effective tools at incentivizing and disincentivizing behavior, instead of immediately throwing the tea into the harbor.

Yes, but if you look at the new Republican Party, this is the majority position. There is no longer a place in this country’s federal politics for small government conservatives. Pendulum might swing back one day, but I doubt it

Yea . Hard working families should be incentives to reproduce not just the impoverished that get more welfare benefits per kid. About time some od you old timers wake up and realize the trajectory we are on. You're great grand kids gonna be screwed .
