Vance had to fight to win his own seat and he was is not popular in rust belt states.. I like him but he could not handle the presidency If called upon in the immediate future.

He beat Tim Ryan a very “moderate democrat” from Youngstown OH. One of the hardest hit areas of the US when it comes to rust belt jobs lost over the last 30 years.
