Carter should have run four years ago

If Broome remains, Baton Rouge will essentially remain stagnant, or in a slow slide downward.

Politics - By endorsing a black candidate, he'll get in tight with the black community. It's just a move for JBE to get more votes in the next election.

If he couldn’t handle Eddie he wanted no part of JBE

don't even know why his endorsement would be helpful after these past few months
I really don't think his endorsement means anything to anyone in BR.

Nobody below the age of 30 is going to vote for Steve Carter

The whites have to get behind a candidate.

JBE Term limited can't run again

My guess is because it's the capital city, but also because he thinks this will help her...and it won't.

Watson is a white male but a hell of a lot better of a candidate than Bodi White was. Ton of signs going up for him.

I think she is beatable. With Wicker out of the picture, I don't know by whom, though.
Watson is the only one with a chance at beating her.
It's going to be a run-off between them, and all of St. George, Zachary, and Central had better show up to the polls.
I think if Wicker was still in, you could have seen a Wicker/Watson run-off... but it wasn't meant to be.

he's positioning himself to take a run at Kennedy's seat.

Broome is a waste of space
Marcelle is evil
That's why the establishment politicos so desperately wanted Wicker ruled ineligible to run.

And got a new roads tax passed when we already pay too high taxes for what we get in return.
Otherwise, record high crime rates, homelessness, zero big economic wins, police force severely understaffed.
