After reading the OP I can confidently say, if some dude claims to be a country music artist while also embracing the leftist lunacy of “Wokeism”….well, that dude should be ostracized by real CW music fans.

And he’s obviously not very smart.
The whole thing with the wokester mental cases comes down to "WHERE IN THE HELL did they come up with their intense hatred of free speech and the tendency to go full-on vagina when somebody uses that free speech to say something with which they disagree.
THAT, to go full-on vagina when somebody uses that free speech to say something with which they disagree, has marked the mass psychosis that the Democrats and globalist wannabes have perpetrated on the USA.
Frank Marshall Davis' son inspiring inflicting the entire mental illness/mass psychosis - all in the spirit of Frank Marshall Davis.

Country music or hill music as called before speaks for the common and the poor. It shares a lot with folk music. It is conservative because it is plain and simple and protests against the dangers of worldly desires and consumption. The rich elites don't like it because it exposes the truth of the world as they look down on the common people as play toys.
It speaks against corporate mindsets and human rights abuses. Remember the song take this job and shove it? Well that is the most anti-corporate song an employee can think of. A protest was being done in the coal mines of West Virginia because of the terrible working conditions. When the song was played, the audience roared. 16 tons is another protest of poor working conditions.
Country music or hill music can save the morale of this nation while other music genres such as pop suck people in with music that brainwashes them as obedient to Hollywood which is in bed with the Democrats that are controlled by the CCP and wealthy elites. So it is a threat to the power structure as it makes people think and act.

I really do think he's a great songwriter and I love most of his stuff. I try to separate artist douchiness/bad behavior from the music but he's making it really difficult.

Country music works against wokism as it destroys individuality and personal freedom.

Isbell is an absolute pussy who needs to have his arse beaten by David Allan Coe.
Country DJs knows that I'm an outlaw
They'd never come to see me in this dive
Where bikers stare at cowboys who are laughing at the hippies
Who are praying they'll get out of here alive
The loud mouth in the corner's getting to me
Talking about my earrings and my hair
I guess he ain't read that I’ve been to prison
Someone ought to warn him before I knock him off his chair
Because my longhair just can't cover up my red neck
I've won every fight I've ever fought
Hey, I don't need some turkey telling me that I ain't country
And saying I ain't worth the damned old ticket that he bought
Because I can sing all them songs about Texas
And I still do all the sad ones that I know
They tell me, I look like Merle Haggard
And sound a lot like David Allan Coe…..
And the bar maid in the last town that we played in
Knew the words to every song I'd wrote
She said Jimmy Rabbitt turned her on to my last album
Just about the time the jukebox broke
Yeah, Johnny Cash helped me get out of prison
Long before Rodriguez stole that goat
I've been the Rhinestone Cowboy for so long I can't remember
And I can do you every song Hank Williams ever wrote

Still, while plenty of country songs touch on the theme of quiet pride in the place you’re from, the overly jingoistic part of the genre lends itself to aligning with conservatism.
This simply cannot be tolerated by the one-party totalitarian state, thus they use their propaganda apparatuses to denounce it. This type of move is straight out of the Communist Party playbook.

I've been around Jason Isbell a few different times. He is not a nice person and his wife Amanda is a God awful bitch. It's a shame because he is a fantastic talent.

The irony is probably 95% of Isbell's income derives from people who disagree with his silly politics.
It seems that Mr. Isbell suffers from White Savior Syndrome because he has the belief these black performers can't succeed without the help of woke, liberal, white people who "understand their struggle."
Your statement also blows out of the water the notion of some mythical "white privilege" or "white supremacy." Middle-and-working class whites are the only group in this country who can be impugned and maligned as they recently have been without resorting to massive acts protest and violence. It seems these "dangerous white supremacists" are fairly docile sheep who seem content on peacefully living their lives and raising their families. The only violence they seem to have committed is turning out to be staged by our government.

Its one of those situations where you have to really strain to separate the art from the artist. If it weren't for his listeners' ability to do this, he would be in a gutter somewhere and deep down he knows this and probably screams into his pillow over it.

these woke arse musicians always talking about racism, yet they never mention doing something to take the "N" word out of today's music.

who the frick is Jason Isabell?
Posted on 12/19/21 at 11:27 am to NPComb
He was in the Drive By Truckers, and he’s now mostly a solo artist.
You can almost always assume a
musician has extreme left wing views. But it has to be a relatively new phenomenon.
Probably post WW2.
What happened? What changed?
Was it education, was it the leadership at record labels, was it the media feting people for having extreme views?

...and not one word is mentioned about folk music being gathering place for Communists and their fellow travelers like Woody Guthrie and Joan Baez.
Here's some "White Nostalgia" for Jason Isbell to choke on:
The Late Great Ray Charles and "American the Beautiful"
This literally brings tears to my eyes.

The Communists weaponized low culture, folk music, against us.
My values come from my parents, grandparents, and my early schooling — but the books and movies I was exposed to as a child had a massive influence.
I was lucky, my grandmother loved John Wayne, but we have to be careful about the media we show our children. And the books they read.
They actually matter

new country
Isbell is a mentally ill addict looking for redemption in virtue signaling. But he isn't new country. He has one really good album and a few other good songs. Puts on a great live show.
I've never heard him talk politics at a show, but I haven't seen him in years. I try to ignore this shite, but he has made it difficult and I stopped listening to him.
Eta: most of his songs are about, and therefore his wealth derives from, white nostalgia. I didn't bother reading to see if he at least admits that.
