The handcuffs will never come out. Here is what people seem to be missing: The politicians are all on the same side.
This isn’t a R vs D issue. With the exception of a select few, they all had their hands in the NGO piggybank and they all stand to lose from this.
Essentially, this battle is the President vs the Judicial Branch, the Legislative Branch, and the bureaucratic wing of the Executive Branch. At the end of the day its a bunch of lawyers and they will protect one another.
