Neither of you are wrong. You're right that we're not racially cohesive, but he's right that there's a larger mentality of the "collective" in Japan.

We thankfully don't have that here. Individual liberty is championed.

If it wasn't for the West pestering them centuries ago, Nippon would probably take pride in being an "uncontacted people" - living in their bubble...swords, sandals and tuna.

No it isn’t, and you’re about to get a crash course in real time from our neighbors to the north. At current immigration rates, Canada will be majority Indian by 2050.

Once that happens legislation will be implemented to rename the land and voted on by…you guessed it…Indians.

What the Japanese are doing is insuring the nation their bloodlines created will be passed down to their bloodlines forever.

It’s about the most compassionate beautiful thing a people can do. I am extremely envious of their culture with regards to this.

I took a different approach to living in Japan. Told my Dad, I will not stay on Little America. I’m going outside the fences. We traveled all over the main island. Had a friend that was a delegates son. Spoke fluent Japanese and English. He taught us how to “blend in”. Silent on trains and buses. They were curious enough about Americans, but if we honored the culture we were not ugly, loud, obnoxious Americans.

Im starting to believe this is a bullshite excuse to allow immigration just like climate change was used to steal our money.

I would rather less a lower population in the United States and deal with the consequences over a bunch of foreigners any day of the week.

What country that had those problems, that imported a bunch of foreigners, has had a good ending?

Who will immediately go back to the type of fully racist culture and government that they pretend right now would be wrong.

Its an open grift where successful counties are told they need to import the people who would tear it down.

We should continue to be a melting pot nation, allow immigration of people who will become proud American, who will become part of the American culture.

Part of that though is limited immigration, as unlimited immigration leads to pockets of cultures who dont need to become Americans.

I do think Hispanics and Indians have the potential to become Americans, but when Indians form their own neighborhoods, its a problem.

We know the Somalia population of Minnesota will never become Americans.

But over time groups more aligned with American ideas will become Americans.

The further their starting points the larger their expat community, the less they will integrate.

They have ALWAYS prided themselves on a strong sense of unity, national pride, and a focus on cultural uniqueness. It was originally shaped by their geographical isolation.

Importing low iq, uneducated, unskilled immigrants has worked out so well for Europe and The United States. Japan and South Korea are smart enough to see the idiocy in that and refuse to do it.

I never made that claim, it's weird that you think I did.

But I didn't feel like going into a long diatribe about how Asians hate on other Asians, so it should go without saying they are quick to judge and dismiss NON Asians, whether European, African, American...

I know the Chinese doesn't like the Japanese ...

quote:

The Nanjing Massacre (Rape of Nanking)
The Nanjing Massacre was a horrific episode of mass murder and wartime rape that began on December 13, 1937, after the Japanese military captured the city of Nanjing, the capital of the Republic of China at the time.
Key facts about the massacre:
Duration: The most intense atrocities occurred over six weeks, but other accounts note they continued in the wider area for several months.
Victims: Japanese soldiers systematically murdered hundreds of thousands of disarmed Chinese soldiers and civilians. Estimates for the death toll vary, but many sources place the number between 200,000 and 300,000.
Sexual assault: Tens of thousands of women and girls were sexually assaulted, with some estimates reaching 80,000 cases of rape. Victims were often mutilated or killed after being assaulted.
Other atrocities: Japanese forces looted and burned much of the city. Eyewitness reports and survivor testimonies also recount instances of torture, mutilation, and bayoneting

Youngest son has lived & worked, as a teacher-of-English to Japanese children, for close to 7 years now. He's not coming back, my loss especially with 2 grand kids there not here, A long list of "why's" but a few stand out: their high school-level of teachers are of college professors quality; the general population's openly expressed politeness & respect is everywhere; Japan is clean, no cans or wrappers tossed onto the streets; there is crime, their gangs, but none of that ripples down to every day life, not even close; bike riding is a way of life.....people park their bikes where they stop & is there, safe, all day/evening long ( hundreds of bikes parked everywhere ); the population's dietary habits are incredibly healthy. etc etc

Japan has been that way for a long time. You might get temporary residence for work, but you damn sure aren't getting citizenship if you're not Japanese.

It will end better than importing a bunch of outsiders, like muslims, who do not want to assimilate and wish to change their culture and their country permanently.

Is he concerned about the anti-immigrant sentiment?
