This reeks of desperation.

Naw.

This clip clearly doesn't show the full argument, but I'll bet 5 SFP bucks this is just the logical extremes of permitting the version of immunity that Trump is arguing for. This is standard, both online and in legal arguments.

If x is permitted, then y will become legal.

You show how y can (not will) be very extreme, which would be an absurd result.

So you read "opposing lawmakers" to mean not just Democrats?

Please, elaborate, if you could.

No. "Will" is almost assuredly used dishonestly to create emotional reaction.

I imagine "can" is going to be the correct word to use.

Not only do they lie and live “by any means necessary”, but they are spectacular drama queens.

The very worst humanity has to offer: Today’s “progressive” Democrats.

There is no penalty for making these ridiculous assertions.

Could?

FFS

He could sign an EO banning growing daisies.

He could incite people to only buy from Target.

He could this. He could that.

Ridiculous.

You're expecting the audience of this news network to distinguish between such legal nuance?

The same network (same host, I believe) who flatly declared that the J6ers brought a legit functioning full scale gallows to execute VP Pence, when in fact, it was just a scaled down prop, meant to convey outrage at the stolen election, but could never have been used to execute anyone larger than a Hobbit?

Goodness.

No. I am just tired of you coming into threads to argue just for the sake of arguing.

That's what I am here for, to do just that.

I read the brief and confirmed this is exactly what he was doing, along with other examples (accepting a bribe in exchange for a lucrative government contract, instructing the FBI director to plant incriminating evidence on a political enemy, ordering the National Guard to murder her most prominent critics, selling nuclear secrets to a foreign adversary).

The specific example in the tweet is actually even specifically refined to impeachments, to show that the "impeachment" standard Trump's attorneys are arguing for are inadequate.

These are all examples to show how extreme/absurd the position Trump's attorney argue re: Presidential immunity.

Nobody is arguing Trump "will" do any of this stuff.

Read pages 27-29 of the brief.

This guy?

Jack Poso - Twitter post.

Seems someone is talking about him.

And that's not remotely the point. I asked if you thought the AUDIENCE of MSNBC was smart enough to distinguish the nuance.

Because it seems all MSNBC does is lie.
