Only had an hour or so to get into.

Looking forward to the next 300 pages or so.

What's striking to me is how much Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are getting off the hook for allowing this bullshite Russian meddling to happen.

They should all absolutely be shut down.

Each had ZERO idea what was happening when selling adverts to Russian spies. ZERO IDEA.

And it goes both ways. There were groups set up that would wind up each side of the aisle.

The only common denominator was a silly social media platform. Each should be held accountable for being money grubbing whores.

Sure. But when a Zuckerberg testifies and the left makes stupid memes implying that the old white guys in Congress don't know how to use the internet, when in reality he was selling ad space to whomever the frick.

Then claim in a collusion report that an estimated 126 MM people saw these meddling Russian posts and Facebook isn't shut down with the swiftness, frick that.

I'm trying to imagine a scenario where any business could remain open when it was proven they sold ad space to a foreign entity that wanted to destroy the most sacred practice we hold as Americans

Dude,

If they’d have bought ad space for Hillary and she’d have won, you’d have given exactly zero shits about this. At least be intellectually honest.

Social media memes and advertisements don’t decide elections. It doesn’t matter if they sold a billion dollars worth of ads.

Exactly why should they be required to shut down? What law did they break, and who has the authority to shut it down? I mean they can and have been criticized for it, and while they had the right to not accept the ads, I don’t see how the government could do anything about it without violating the first amendment.

That’s the great thing about capitalism. We have the power to hold them accountable. If the government starts meddling, it’s bound to get screwed up.

Dude,

Learn to read. At no point did I favor one political side or the other.

I did mention, it goes both ways.

Russian spies set up on both sides of the aisle.

There were groups set up, that had more followers, they would benefit Hillary. And Also groups set up for Trump followers.

You can read the report for yourself.

But, if you really want to get bent out of shape, go read the section that talked about Trump's Official Twitter commenting on a fake Russian account advertising for a pro-Trump rally in Florida where realdonald says 'We love you!'

Granted, Trump's twitter had no idea who they were responding to as well.

My overall point, which you missed because you're probably not the brightest is, Russia is proven to have meddle severely and very easily since 2014 through social media.

It's fricked up.

There was such little of a presence it didn't raise red flags.

Only $100,000 worth as reported from the LA times.

Sounds like what we need is some big government to regulate and fix it amirite? If Russians posted on TD is it Chickens responsibility to vet it? Should the site be shut down if he doesn’t ?

Being asshats mostly. They don't care what gets bought. I totally get that from a free market standpoint. They only care now that they're exposed for having zero oversight on how they made their monies.

It's funny to me, that smaller profitable companies get the rath of God for doing something far less severe morally, legally etc.

How does this matter? The Russians didn't change votes.

Well you said they need to be shut down. How else would they shut down unless they decide to shut it down themselves if not for government involvement? Or did you mean they just suck and you wish they didn’t exist, but didn’t literally think they should be required to shut down?

Dude, the loser of presidential elections spends tons of money, yet they still lose. So whatever was spent by Russian spies meant nothing in the scheme of things. The news media didn't cost one thin dime to Obama or Hillary, yet they influenced a ton more votes than spies did

I know that Russian bots on social media influenced me to vote for Trump.....had nothing to do with the Dims nominating a criminal for their candidate. Lol!

I know you didn't. That is what I would call meddling, though. Putting BS out on Facebook isn't.

It's the fact that social media was so easily infiltrated, and built upon, that is worrying to me.
