This isnt a common symptom of COVID. you probably didn’t have it.

And you didn’t mention a cough. Which is what this disease does. Goes to the lungs.

sounds like they are more worried about the flu than the corona..

since you don't have the flu, they sent you home

interesting development...

you should tweet this CSB to the POTUS

I believe I got it about a month ago. Started with a sore throat for five days as well as a dry cough. Just getting rid of the cough. And no, I have no allergies. Been tested to the extreme (90+ allergen test) Wife (no pics) has had same symptoms.

Problem for some folks is that their company HR might not just accept “the nurse thinks I’ve got Corona” as a legitimate excuse to miss work. No test, no proof.

If you even think you are sick right now, most employers are telling you to stay home

She finally admits that I probably do have covid but because I'm not old and in shape, they won't test me. So I left and put myself in quarantine. Took off work and haven't left my house for a week. It just pisses me off that it seems like some people are able to get tested and some aren't.

Most aren't getting tested if they are like you - young, healthy, and no underlying contributing health issues. It is deliberate to make sure this thing hangs around a long time. The medical people are following the marching orders from the CDC and their ilk.

Now ask yourself why?

I may not have it, but that's the point. I would like to know. It's not just a sore throat. It's literally the worst sore throat I've ever had. Swallowing water was like razor blades. Was wiped out for about three days in a row. Then the dry cough started. No sinus stuff, but then one night I woke up and thought I was drowning. I'm 39 in decent shape. So I wasn't that bad for me. My problem is that, if I didn't have it I could go back to work tomorrow. Instead, I have to quarantine because they won't test me.

I know someone that due to a horrific workplace accident in the past --has bad lung capacity-- got symptoms-went to the hospital, and they didn't even test them for the virus and sent him home.

Seven days ago I developed an unproductive cough, sneezing, sore throat, headache, body ache, stomach ache, diarrhea, and I was winded. Five days ago I went to Urgent Care. I tested negative for the flu. Chest x-ray showed my lungs were cloudy. I was told that I didn't meet the CDC requirement to be tested because I didn't have a fever. I was given a prescription for Azithromycin and Virtussin. I was also given two papers. One saying I was diagnosed with an upper respiratory infection, unspecified and the other one for my employer saying that I was not tested for Covid-19. I was told to go to the ER if my condition worsened. I was not told to self-isolate but I did. I still have an unproductive cough and I'm still winded. My local hospital in small town Louisiana sucks. I will continue to self-isolate until I have no symptoms.
Best of luck to you!

Seriously? There are billions in emergency funds available to the hardest hit areas.

Gotta get those numbers up.
